Friday (tonight!) at Miami Beach’s Winter Music Conference 2008 proves to be another cavalcade of big name djs and dance music heavy hitters. With so much quality entertainment going on in South Beach, the question won’t be what you should go to, but how you can get to all the parties. Here are a few suggestions from us: The Def Mix - Pacha Miami Festival, featuring those knights of the turntables, Frankie Knuckles and David Morales; or if you are of a breakbeat disposition, perhaps the Future Sound of Breaks party at Metropolis Downtown with DJ Icey, Krafty Kuts, Freestylers and DJ Craze might do it for you. If techno’s your thing check out Cheap Sunglasses at PS 14 featuring Konrad Black, Magda, Pier Bucci and Derek Plaslaiko. These are only three of an innumerable amount of banging parties for your perusal and pleasure. Please enjoy responsively.

Saturday ups the ante even more with an incredible roster of talent amid a dizzying array of essential parties. You got Dixon – of Jazzanova fame – with Miguel Mig’s at the Aquabooty shindig at Opium Garden, Loco Dice and Marco Carola at The Pawn Shop, Deep Dish at Club Space or Danny Tenaglia playing an all classics set – and that includes future classics – at Score Bar. The finest in German minimal techno is represented at the Mobilee loves Sobebeats party, with Sebo K, Ralf Kollmann, Pan-Pot and Anja Schneider at the Jakmel Art Gallery, while progressive house moguls John Digweed and Hernan Cattaneo will be rocking the Bedrock party at the Vagabond. If hip-hop’s your flavor you have the WMC Pool Party at the Raleigh Hotel with Stones Throw label ambassadors Peanut Butter Wolf, A-Trak and Madlib. If you need to hear some serious Detroit techno action, go check out Hi –Tek Soul Miami 2008, with Stacey Pullen, Kevin Saunderson alongside Chicago house innovator Ron Trent at Beach Plaza Hotel rooftop. Once again, regardless of what you go to it’s a no lose situation.

Sunday, March 29th is the last day of the Miami Winter Music Conference and though it may be a day for tearful goodbyes it is also the day when some of the biggest guns in da bidness let off a salvo of kickass party badness. Bob Sinclair and Axwell hold it down at Mansion while your techno needs are taken care of at the We Love Techno party with Mistress Barbara and Joel Mull among many others. Nothing But An Old Skool at Shine/Shelbourne Beach Resort features Todd Terry, Biz Markie, Mark Farina, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Common among an all star line up that straddles the porous border between house and hip-hop. Or if you want something a little more on the banging side, the Space Miami Pool Party at The Surfcomber has Ferry Corsten, Sander Kleinenberg, Eric Prydz, Axwell, Cedric Gervais and Desyn Masiello, who will rock the dance floor and your world. This is only a glimpse of what Sunday has in store, so have your last dance, say your goodbyes, cement your hellos, save the memories and return in style next year.
